For Fall Zac Posen put all of his models in a beautiful smokey eye using black and brown-- then he set it off with Orange/brown lips! Now since I don't have orange lipstick, my version will have to do.
Zac Posen:
My Version:
Products Used:
Eyeshadows were all from my 28 Neutral Palette from Costal Scents.
Lips:
Brown liner from Jordana
MAC's tinted lip conditioner in Soothing Beige
NYX's Chaos
Stila's Sun eyeshadow
Fun look yeh? lol, I like this one :)

My first Feature for Mybfcloset.com and it turned out pretty cool! I'm really proud of my work and I hope other people like it :)
Using Randy's old Size 40 jeans, I cut the jeans into two pieces, the top piece cut short and made into a skirt :)
The second piece I cut the bottom of his jeans and sewed them back together to make one large section of fabric. After a few pinning and tucking tricks, I created a dress. But to make it more feminine I cinched the waist using a wide Belt :)
enjoy the pictures:

For my first installment of my Fashion Fall 2009 makeup series, I'm going to play with a lot of orange :)
looking back at the Fall '09 Fashion runway, a lot of designers used Orange on their Model's faces. I know there are a lot of fall colors coming out but the Orange was Everywhere! There were orange shadow, organgey bronzers, even orange lips! it's sooo fun! I chose Carolina Herrera, Nanette Lepore and Diane Von Furstenberg as my inspiration for this look.
Carolina Herrera
Nanette Lepore
Diane Von Furstenberg
now for my renditions:
My rendition is a little bit more wearable.. with the exception of the Orange lips lol. You can wear this look out at night or if you're at a SF Giants game haha!
What I used:
MAC's Amber Lights
MAC's Black Tied
MAC's Texture
Costal Scents 28 Neutral Palette: Champagne/Silver
Loreal HIP: Black Cream Liner
Maybelline: Lash Blast Mascara
MAC's Viva Glam IV
MAC's Spring Bean
Amber light Shadow
Enjoy :)

So I didnt really get a chance to do too many looks in Vegas. But I got to use my new Flashy Liner from Sephora in Flashy Blue. I put it over my black cream liner by HIP. I used MAC's Honey Lust, Mulch and Black Tied for a simple look with the Flashy Liner. I also put a pop of MAC's Freshwater close to the liner to set. Enjoy :)
Simple, but fun :)

i love my god daughter to death.. so when her mom posted this video of her jibberish online while holding MAC. I couldnt even resist. Enjoy her cuteness will you? I will!

so as many of you fashion Followers know, the Mercedes Benz Spring '10 collection is coming up and what better way to prepare for it than to base a series of looks from the fall '09 collection that came out in February! The clothes were gorgeous! Tons of Studs, Tweed, heavily accessorized Hats and Pencil Skirts coming for Fall :) But what did I focus on alongside the fashion? the makeup.
There were a few looks that i thought were AMAZING! John Galliano played with all the colors under the Sun!! his collection was different but fabulous. Marc Jacobs used the same elements of color with more emphasis on Yellow! Carolina Herrera and Nanette Lepore used a lot of Orange color on their Models-- and it was gorgeous! There are many more to admire, but I thought that with this new inspiration I should do a Series of looks specifically dedicated to the Fall '09 collection of a select number of Designers. I'm excited, and I think it'll be a great Collection of looks!
So stay Tuned!

I want to try their Mineral makeup sooo BAD!!
They've wonderfully called themselves "Vegan Makeup" and all products are made without Bismuth Oxichloride (which can irritate your skin). They have Extremely Pigmented colors to choose from, aaaaand their cheaper than MAC cosmetics! :) how great is that!
I'm currently waiting for their Color Duochrome Kit w/ 10 colors! mmmmm, They're are a few more of them that I'd like to try but I'm waiting for mine! I can't wait to swatch and do a look :) The colors are craaaazyyyy!!
obviously I'm excited! lol

I go through a lot of primer for an amateur makeup artist-- I tend to test out dozens and dozens of lid primers and face primers but for both? I'm in love with MAC's Fix+. I have a few eye shadows that are not as pigmented and it's hard to get the real color to shine. Fix+ has this formula that helps the color of your eyeshadow or your Mineral makeup show and stay on your face without creasing or clumping.
All I do is spray a little Fix+ on the brush after i've scooped up some pigment and apply away. It serves as a primer and it makes your colors more vibrant. I love it!

The damage has been done and The products have been bought. and Oh lord-- I don't think I can buy any more MAC products. Well-- not for a while that is. I made a list, and for the past few months, I've continued to add on to my list of things to buy at MAC and finally-- I got them.
The pictures didn't come out well so I won't waste time posting them. but I basically got:
Fix+
New 15 Shadow Palette
Gleam (pot)
Steamy (pot)
Juxt (pot)
Soft Ochre Paint Pot
Honey Lust (individual)
But because Gleam and Honey Lust look almost exactly the same, I'm thinking I should exchange Gleam out for a purple-ish color or for Canary--- I really want Canary (but when will I use it?) oh well, I'll find something :)
I also want to exchange my Soft Ochre Paint pot. When I apply it, The pigment rarely shows up on my skin tone after I've applied the paint pot. So I'm either going to switch it to something thats more my own flesh tone. OR I can just return it and save money. ::sigh:: the possibilities of Makeup :)
I'll post up pictures soon of the makeup looks I've tried-- But hopefully it all just comes together :)

Okay so I have this Fuchsia eye shadow that I really liked, but the more and more I looked at it, the more and more I had no idea how to use it. I know usually people put it in their crease under a dark shadow-- but i didn't want to try that, so I cut my crease with a chocolate brown, used a champagne for my lid and the fuchsia for the outer shade.. it's funky, but why not right? do something different, it's better that way :)

I just purchased Juxt from MAC and i wanted to see what else it mixed with in my palette, so here you go-- There's actually three different color greens but it was my first time using one specific color lol.. I used MAC's Juxt, Humid and one of the green's from my 120 pro Palette.

I saw an interesting dress that had Silver and Brown metallics on it and it inspired me to do this look. It's very basic but I really liked the combo. It was fun to try :)

Ran requested I do a Bumble Bee inspired makeup look.. and i'm aware that the colors look hideous as a makeup combination.. but he's my boo and I thought it would be an interesting look :) Enjoy!
They're Sloppy-- but i did it really quick :) plus-- i'm an amateur LOL!

I'll also try to keep the fashion mixed in with the makeup, seeing how the two go hand in hand. Playing with my makeup is fun and it keeps my creativity running, hopefully it'll spur more makeup ideas :) Im excited!!
